This course describes the social process of fashion acceptance and diffusion. Students learn to apply the principles of fashion and the theories of fashion adoption as they relate to the analysis of trends. Students will study fashion history through an in-depth 20th century decade review of political, socio-economic and fashion trends and their influence on today’s fashions. Students develop skills in accurate qualitative and quantitative fashion reporting.
