I invited Stephanie Sterjovski of SS Life and Style to visit my Fashion Management and Promotions Postgraduate Certificate program class as a guest speaker. Stephanie was an excellent speaker and had lots of great behind the scenes industry information to share with our students. The students enjoyed it so much, so they were still talking about it days later! Arranging a guest speaker was one of my goals for this year, so I am happy that things worked out so positively.
Stephanie has an impressive story of how she turned her blog into a business and her full time job. She started her blog in 2012, then started a business of making art prints of quotes, these really took off and are now sold in many places including Chapters and Indigo. Her blog has taken off and she works with all sorts of brands like Kate Spade, J.Crew, Anthropologie, Roots in promoting products through her social media outlets and website. Her prints have also been featured on CityLine.
